This curriculum is designed together by Google and Purdue Global faculty. You will take data analytics courses, plus the courses from the micro-credential of your choice. You will develop in-demand, job-ready skills, such as how to analyze and process data to gain key business insights.

Course Outcomes

  • Data Usage: Explore the use of data across multiple industries.
  • Analysis Tools: Develop a working knowledge of essential data analysis tools (spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau, R programming) and when to use them in the data lifecycle. 
  • Database: Design a relational database to include the methods for extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data.
  • Data Visualization: Apply appropriate tools and methods to display data effectively.
  • Programming: Use R programming to manipulate data to be displayed.

You must be a high school graduate or possess a General Education Development (GED) certificate or other equivalency diploma. You are also encouraged to complete orientation before you start classes. Refer to the University Catalog or speak to an Advisor to learn more.

If you are already a Google Data Analytics Certificate holder, you will save the time and cost associated with earning the certificate and can focus on completing the remaining courses to earn your Purdue Global + Google Career Certificate or continue on with another Purdue Global program.
